Welcome to the journey of our children's book project, a heartfelt collaboration between myself as the illustrator and my dear friend Nancy Hicks as the author. This book is a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the profound lessons found in everyday life.
A Sneak Peek at the Story
In this enchanting tale, Little Bear, Tam, and his wise and loving grandmother, Meema, explore the wonders of the natural world together. Through Meema’s gentle guidance, Tam learns to find the "Good Things" in life, even during times of sadness or uncertainty.
The story begins with Meema encouraging Tam to look for the Good Things in his day. Tam’s adventures lead him to chase butterflies in the meadow, where he meets Pip, a tiny caterpillar who dreams of flying. Together, they create unforgettable moments of joy.
However, Tam’s journey also brings challenges—a rainy day, a fear of bees, and the sorrow of losing Pip when she disappears into a mysterious green pod. Yet, with Meema’s support and his own growing understanding, Tam discovers that even the hardest moments can lead to the most beautiful transformations. When Pip returns as a radiant butterfly, Tam learns that Good Things often come as wonderful surprises.
“ I wonder whats possible out here today, I wonder what Good Things are coming your way ”
