A New Chapter | Welcome to my new blog

Hello there!

I am delighted to announce the launch of my new blog/journal series, which will be found right here on my website!

As a reticent artist who is as shy and elusive as the beings and critters I illustrate, I tend to find solace in the quiet, undeveloped corners of the internet, far away from the hustle and bustle of social media. Instagram, which was once my home for connection, inspiration, and sharing my work, has become a tyrannical dystopia imbued with anger, grief, and frustration. I felt my creative voice fading, and my thoughts became too diluted to process clearly.

To many of us who are cognizant of these social shifts, it can quickly become overwhelming. Amidst the clamor and tumult, I have struggled to carve out a space for myself. So, to overcome this dilemma, I have learned to adapt and fully step away to forge my own path. This decision will be the most favorable for me as an artist and as a creature who needs the quietude, away from outside influences.

But in light of this, I have discovered new routes and trails of opportunity where I will be planting and sowing seeds for the coming future—and this new space that I've created for us will be dedicated to deeper, more personal reflections of my work and creative process; featuring long-form written content that will go far beyond what I share in my monthly newsletter. Here you will find my personal musings, the inspiration behind my work, and even some written step-by-step drawing tutorials for my fellow emerging artists!

But whether you are a fellow illustrator or simply want to keep up with my artistic endeavors, I hope you will enjoy this journey as much as I will.
